Sister Cities and local officials meet with Salamanca mayor and council member, University of Guanaj

Mayor Justina Arriaga and Councilman Salvador Solis of Salamanca, Gto., Mexico, a sister city of Bryan/College Station visited the area and met with Bryan and College Station officials on Oct. 24 as well as members of the Bryan/College Station Sister Cities Association. Mayor Arriaga presented a gift and proclamation to each city. The Salamanca officials were in the area to attend a ceremony on Oct. 25 recognizing Dr. Jose Manuel Cabrera Sixto, president of the University of Guanajuato, as outstanding alumni of the Texas A&M College of Agriculture and Life Sciences. The B/CS Sister Cities Board also held a dinner on Oct. 24 in honor of Mayor Arriaga, Councilman Solis and Dr. Cabrera and his family.
